![]() It's made in collaboration with Capcom, so I need to watch it in order to start demanding they add Guyferd to Tatsunoko Vs. Maybe Keita Amamiya funded the rest to keep the quality consistent? Garo's apparently a passion project that he basically pays for himself after all.Īnother lesser known one that I want to get around to sometime - I've seen a bit of it but not a lot - is Guyferd. ![]() They must have kept getting funding from somewhere afterward, I have no idea from where. There's a stupid amount of stuff in there: you had the main robot and it upgraded form, some Sentai-esque peeps, a useless teammate mecha which gets a new revision basically every episode, another distinct set of suits for a tokusatsu show that one of the characters watches in the series and which they made an episode of for that purpose, and then of course the monster of the week.Īpparently the first episode was planned as a movie, which would explain it, but then it got turned into a TV show. I don't think it's something I'd recommend - the tone's all over the place for one - but it's clearly had a huge budget for a toku series. ![]() The last toku series that I sat down with was Tekkouki Mikazuki, which was another Keita Amamiya thing (Zeiram, Garo, as well as design for Kamen Rider and Metal Heroes in the later Showa era). Opening movie of the PS1 game Super Hero Sakusen Daidaru no Yabou, a good RPG game that was only released in Japan.Intro del juego de PS1 Super Hero Sakusen.
